Stephanie Igboanugo, BSN, RN, is a first-year Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Master's student at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. She expects to graduate in December 2023. She is passionate about working with the pediatric population ages 5 - 17, especially the intellectually or developmentally disabled (IDD) population. She is also interested in providing mental health care and education early in a child's life. Lastly, the experience she garnered while volunteering in Lagos, Nigeria, has increased her interest in pursuing the de-stigmatization of mental health care and education in a religious environment, especially in the minority community.
Ms. Igboanugo earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing at Midwestern State University in 2019. She is a member of the American Nursing Association, Texas Nursing association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
