Nephetalie Jules

RN , Masters (Current)

Nephetalie Jules, RN, is a first-year Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. Her aspirations include using her clinical and didactic knowledge to improve patient-centered care through evidence-based practice and recent scientific literature. She also hopes to participate as an active leader within the psychiatric mental-health provider community to help teach novice nurses and give back to the local community.

She graduated from the University of Florida College of Nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2019 where she was an active member of the "EMBRACE" program. This program emphasized the engagement of multiple communities within the BSN students in research and academic curricular experiences. This helped Ms. Jules translate research and leadership skills clinically at the bedside within her first two years of nursing. She has since served a diverse range of patient populations from both rural and urban backgrounds, which has provided her with well-rounded background experiences.

Ms. Jules became employed at the University of Florida's magnet teaching hospital, UF Health Shands, in Gainesville, Florida. Here, she worked on the medical surgical inpatient psychiatric 22-bed unit. More recently, she has served as a travel nurse exploring and expanding her clinical knowledge and learning similar and different systematic approaches between different facilities to inpatient psychiatry care.

She is an active member of her local church group and participates as a mentor to younger members of the community through workshops and retreats.
