Kristin Shaw

Kristin Shaw, RN is a first year Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at American Sentinel at Post University. She has an immense desire to care for the mentally ill and learn every aspect of managing behaviors and the human mind to care for others, specifically the under-represented populations throughout the city of Houston and throughout the nation.

Ms. Shaw started as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 2012 and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in 2013. She obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 2019 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2020.

During her eight years as a nurse, she has worked as a Med-Surgical nurse at various hospitals in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX as well as in Long-Term Care and rehabilitation.

In her free time, Ms. Shaw enjoys singing, painting, listening to music, dancing, and working out to maintain her health and wellness.
